Review: Kath and Kim US

NBC last night aired the American version of Kath and Kim. I can't say I'm impressed but it had an understanding plot and a few good one-liners.

But first and foremost, Is Selma Blair really that overweight in real life?

The show is very close to the Aussie version where both Kath and Kim have relationship problems. But I think both Selma Blair and Molly Shannon are trying too hard to be someone they aren't. The chemistry was lacking as well.

There were a few laugh-out-loud moments, especially the conversations involving Craig, but other than that, the humour was lacking. I wouldnt completely write this show off, but if NBC really want the show to succeed they should at least give it more than one season so both Blair and Shannon can gel.
